Cardinal Farms Mini-Nubian Goat Program

Our Mini-Nubian program began in 2019 with a foundation herd of purebred Mini-Nubians purchased from Genoa Meadows Farm in Howell, MI. Known for their strong genetics and excellent health, we felt grateful to have these excellent goats to begin our program. Since that time, we’ve continued to maintain purebred lines, adding in some genetics to make for an even stronger homestead and breeding stock Mini-Nubian. Our goats are dam-raised and handled from birth and tend to be very friendly. They graze on fresh pasture from May through October and quality stored forage in the winter months. We pride ourselves on maintaining a small, healthy herd that can be readily observed and managed with as little medicinal intervention as possible. Our existing herd is all registered with MDGA and all kids are able to be registered. Whether you are looking for a dairy goat for your homestead or breeding stock for your own program, we encourage you to consider a goat raised with love and care here at Cardinal Farms.

SOLD! Born March 29, Isaac is an F7 purebred mini-nubian. He is one of triplets born to one of our foundation, purebred does. Both doe and sire are out of Genoa Meadows and have excellent genetics. We are retaining his brother and sister. All three have excellent temperaments and conformation. Isaac would make an excellent herd sire for a farm looking to add some excellent genetics. Parents are registered with MDGA.

Gina is an F7 purebred yearling born in the spring of 2023. She has stellar conformation. Her dam and sire both carry Genoa Meadow genetics. She was just bred for the first time this fall 2024, awaiting confirmation of pregnancy. Her dam is one of our foundation does and has excellent milk production and has had consistent, easy kiddings for the last five years.

Preston is a three-year old F7 purebred Mini-Nubian buck with excellent genetics. He has sired beautiful kids for the past three seasons and we’ll be selling him after 2024 fall breeding. You’ve never met a more “ready” fella than Preston. He has a long season of rut but the offspring he sires make it worth it. Pedigree and additional pics and video available upon request.

Eli is a three and a half year old F7 purebred Mini-Nubian buck. His sire and dam are both Genoa Meadows genetics, and he was one of our first kids on the ground here at Cardinal Farms. He has been such a stellar buck for us producing gorgeous offspring, but his sire is still going strong so we are offering him to another farm looking for excellent genetics and good demeanor. He friendly and always ready to “work.” He has no persistent health conditions and does well in both the hot summer and cold winter months.
